Banner Project 2017

The Campbell River Arts Council would like to thank everyone involved in making the 2017 Banner Project a huge success.
Our subject this year is “150 Banners for 150 Years” to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary.

Many schools and individuals are participating in this project to make it a success. If you would like to paint a banner, please contact the Campbell River Arts Council (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and we will arrange it.

We would like to thank our suppliers: Hitec Screen Printing for providing the banners; Quality deSigns for providing advertising ‘flags’ and for screen printing; B&K Upholstery for sewing ‘flags’ on the bottom of banners; Cloverdale Paint for supplying the paint.
Our facilitators: Catherine Holmes, Banner Coordinator, for going to all the schools to instruct them on how banners are painted and to supply them with all materials needed; Alison Liebel who coordinated our educational program and providing inspiration along the way; the custodians of School District 72, who picked up banner stretchers and delivered them to the schools; and Campbell River Public Works for arranging the hanging of the banners along with the hanging crew.

This project has been made possible in part by the Government of Canada .
