Arts Council Aids Rotary Club in Fundraise

For the past three year’s the Rotary Club of Campbell River has asked the Campbell River Arts Council to help with their Annual Pumpkins for Polio Action. The Arts Council has really enjoyed participating in such a worthwhile project which aims to end polio. The first year of the project three countries still had polio throughout their population now, this year, the number is down to two countries. Well done Rotary!

The pumpkins raised over $1,900 at the auction held in the CR Men’s Club. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation as well as the Federal Government will each double the proceeds.

Thank you Arts Council volunteers and the Rotary Club for spearheading this worthwhile endeavour!
