Campbell River Wild!

Congratulation to the 16 entrants who provided 70 photographs for the 9th Annual Photo Show at the Campbell River Arts Council. From these 70 entries, 23 were chosen to hang in the exhibition. During the reception at the Sybil Andrews’ Cottage on June 20th, the awards were announced. It was a very difficult decision for the judges to pick the Best in Show but eventually the prize went to Charles Brandt for “Elk Falls” – a wonderful photograph depicting Elk Falls in full spate. He was awarded a certificate from PhotoTech PhotoSource. Honorable Mention was given to Christine Welsh for her “Spirit of Autumn” an introspective piece featuring an autumn leaf. Eight-six votes were received for the People’s Choice award and the clear winner was Charles Brandt for “Swans” an amazing study in motion. He will receive a certificate from PJ’s Art Supplies.
